About
Fewer group chats. More showing up.
Gawafa is a small tool for organizing real-world activities in Cairo — a run, a reading group, a game night, dinner with a few new people. It handles the parts that get messy in a group chat: who's coming, who's on the waiting list, and whether people actually show up.
We built it because coordinating even a simple plan over chat means scrolling through "who's in?" threads and losing track of the answer. Gawafa gives each activity a single link where the list stays accurate, so your chat can stay a chat.
How trust works here
- Email verification. When verification is on, you confirm your email before you can post an activity or join one.
- Reliability from attendance. Your reliability score comes from attending the activities you join — not from how much you post or chat.
- Reporting. Every activity has a report link for anything that feels off. Reports are reviewed by the team.
- No fake engagement. We don't pad the app with fake members, plans, or reviews.
What Gawafa isn't
We're a coordination tool, not an event organizer. We don't run activities, supervise meetups, or guarantee anyone's safety or behavior. You bring the plans and the people; we help you keep track of them.
Early, and free
Gawafa is early. Joining and hosting are free while we're getting started, and we don't sell your data. If something is confusing or broken, tell us — it genuinely shapes what we build next.
